Your Safe Ministry End of Financial Year Review

We’re now half way through June which means receipts have become much higher on the agenda than they were when you were standing at an ATM 3 months ago.

But as we each look back over expenditure and taxable income, it’s worth taking some time review the past 12 months of your church’s Safe Ministry efforts. Here are 3 things to review as you move into the new financial year.

1) Your Safe Ministry Policies

While you’re crunching numbers in mental, scientific, and graphic calculators, why not take a look at your churches safe ministry policies. It’s worth going over their relevance and appropriateness and making any updates that you see fit. After the past few months of COVID moving things online, you might realised there are necessary updates that will need to be made.

2) The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations

Principle 9 of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations is that the national principles are reviewed and implemented regularly. How is your church going at implementing these principles. Safe Ministry Check’s training and screening has been designed with the national principles in hand, so if you’d like help with reviewing and implementing our system, we’re always here to help.

3) All the Training and Screening Your Church Has Done

Over the past 12 months, our system has screened and trained thousands upon thousands of volunteers, all made up of people from your church and others. This is something to be thankful for. Why not take aside some time to be thankful for all the screening and training that has happened in your church over the last financial year?
