Having a healthy relationship with your insurer is a great way to make sure you’re always in the loop with your safe ministry obligations.
One of the things we have found as we’ve developed our Safe Ministry platform is a lack of communication between churches and their insurers. As we’ve worked with Ansvar risk, we’ve noticed that having a good relationship with your insurer can open up a world of possibilities in maintaining a safe culture at your church.
One of the primary reasons why this is the case is because your insurer will always have their ear to the ground on any updated legal requirements, and have a good sense of what is best safe ministry practice. They’re pretty much experts in their field, and so will always have a good sense of what’s going to make your church safe. They’ll also be able to let you know about their requirements for compliance which you’re required to fulfill.
If you’re unsure about a decision your making for the safety of your church, why not get in touch with your insurer? They won’t make you UNsurer. They’ll help you to see what you need to do to remain compliant in different circumstances.
